Attendees at this year’s Media Commons Tailgate will have the chance to earn badges during their time with us on October 4th.  And not just one badge:  we’ll be debuting both digital and 3D printed versions, attainable through different event day achievements.  Here are the mock ups:

Everyone who attends this year will receive the new digital badge, which was created to take advantage of Penn State’s new badging platform.  Those who want to unlock the 3D printed badge need only post a photo or video of their experience to the Tailgate Tumblr site during the day.  Show an MC staffer and you’ll get your very own 3D badge.

Be sure to check out the technology behind these badges in the “Tomorrow’s Tech” demo room, open during both breakout sessions at Tailgate.  Advanced Learning Projects staff will be on hand to explain digital badging, 3D printing, motion controlled computing and much, much more.
