From Teaching and Learning with Technology:

Faculty and staff are invited to attend the free Media Commons Tailgate on Friday, October 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The event will begin in the Foster Auditorium within Pattee Library, University Park and then move to the Knowledge Commons.

The Media Commons Tailgate is a highly interactive event focused on exploring the possibilities for digital media in teaching and learning. This year’s theme will be “Branching Out.” Attendees will have an opportunity to creatively explore and dig into the role of new media in the classroom and the many new innovations for creating and teaching with multimedia offered by Teaching and Learning with Technology.

This will be a fast-paced day including a keynote address by Lori Hepner, artist and Associate Professor of Integrative Arts; group breakout and brainstorming discussions featuring faculty and staff presenting on the use of new media in the classroom; and other sessions designed to engage the audience in conversation. Discussion will cover a range of issues from the technical to the pedagogical, and should offer something for attendees regardless of their background.
