We’re two days away from the Media Commons Tailgate event on Friday, October 3rd! I have a few additional reminders before we get going.
Reminder 1: We encourage you to keep the conversation going during the day both in and out of sessions using social media. Facebook and Twitter are always options, but we’re especially encouraging everyone to use Instagram to capture their thoughts and ideas throughout the day. Just be sure to use the tag #mctg on any of the platforms! You can also email thoughts and media to firstname.lastname@example.org for inclusion on our Tumblr (which will be live updating throughout the day).
Reminder 2: Bjorn Rustberggaard, COO of WeVideo, will be leading the afternoon workshop track and introducing attendees to the WeVideo editor, the collaborative cloud video editor Media Commons has been piloting during the last semester. Check it out and let us know what you think!
Reminder 3: Anyone coming in on Thursday is welcome to join the Media Commons staff at the Deli for dinner and conversation! This informal get-together starts at 6:00 pm. Please let me know if you’re planning on stopping by so we can give the Deli an accurate head count.
Reminder 4: We’re trying something new for lunch this year! We’ll all be headed to Heritage Hall in the HUB for a catered lunch, but what’s more, each table will have topic cards to keep the conversation going. Sit at a table with a topic that interests you most and engage in exciting conversations with similarly-interested colleagues! All of these discussions connect to the breakout sessions happening throughout the Tailgate.
As always, please let me know if you have any questions concerning the event, otherwise we will see you Friday morning! If by some chance you need to cancel your registration, please let me know as soon as possible.
Thanks – and see you soon!
