Meet the Netflix Generation – and How to Engage Them

Stuart Bowness, CEO & Co-Founder, MediaCore

Stuart is the CEO of MediaCore, an educational video platform for universities that serves over 100 institutions all over the world. In a nutshell MediaCore makes it easy for institutions to create a digital library where their students/professors can create and share media in a private & secure environment. In Stuart’s spare time he serves as interim CTO at Kepler (in Rwanda), which is a non-profit working to deliver low-cost higher education in Sub-Saharan Africa. He also has a huge passion for surfing and sailing.

Evolution of a Media Assignment

This session looks at the evolution of a media assignment in two professional writing courses and examines how the focus of instruction has shifted from helping students understand the inherent value of multimedia and competent use of available software to addressing rhetorical issues of perennial concern.
